Baldy Go
....and Many thanks to all who encouraged me to go!

I had a great time and consumed lashings ofGinger Beer.
Sadly, I had to leave Julian, Anne, George (funny how she never married?) and Timmy the Dog behind, clubbing in Union Street, so had only mi bike and a packet of Beechams 'All-in-One' cold and flu tabs for company.(Yup-I nearly didn't make it!)
I met a jolly interesting new-age couple on the ferry over to Roscoff though and discovered that Beechams and Cheap wine don't mix at all well.
After I had cleaned myself up it was off at dawn to the legendary 'Isle de Batz' off the Brittany coast where a grinning Gallic type threw my bike onto a tiny plastic boat with some lobster pots.
The weather was just glorious! Double figure temperatures and brilliant clear sun. The Island enjoys a 'micro-climate' and there where even some pesky flowers out!
I was glad I chose to take my trusty MTB over the Triban3. While most of the islands little communities are linked by good tarmac, a lot of it is dirt road and twisty single-track. Nothing too teknical, but a novice mtb'ers paradise. There are only about 12 cars on the Island......I think you need to be the Mayor to have one.
Back to Roscoff for more BEER and to shake the sand from my Aldi Winter Tights, then......back on the Ferry and home in time for Tea and Muffins.
Terrific.
As promised - some snaps for the 'Pics Or It Didn't Happen' contingent.............
