Hello there could anyone help I want to join a road cycling club but I'm a novice the club do cater for beginners but does anyone have any pre training tips before joining a club?

You might give the club a call and see what they expect from new riders, failing that just go along and see if it suits you. I don't think I done any specific training when I joined a club I just liked to cycle and when on an forum ride (old C+ forum) I averaged 15mph with a d'lock and pannier, I realised it was time to join a club, tbh I should have done it earlier.

Most clubs will let you ride with them for a few times before seeking membership. My own club ask the 'guest' to sign a disclaimer. Don't worry about dragging the club back just join the C group. Most C groups use the old US Marine moto - bring them all home. The B groups usually B2/B1 are usually less tolerant. they will slow down once or twice to let you catch up but after that they will head for home. Only exception being if you have a puncture or mechanical then the pack will wait and the more experienced will help with the repair.

My biggest regret was not joining a club soooner. Now, early in the year is a great time so just go for it.
