Jesus was that hard today

Just completed 30 miles on my new bike (Pinarello Quattro) and whilst it was a pure joy to ride, the heat and humidity really sapped the energy today. Was sweating loads and guzzling water even though my pace was decidedly mid range.

Going out tomorrow morning early before the heat builds...hopefully that will be better.

Anyone else suffering in the heat today?????

Aye it was hard work today, the heat was pretty bad, even in the shade.

I managed 28 miles this morning, by the time I got in, 12.30pm, it was warming up, but it was beautiful for the two hours before that.

I was at work today but determined not to miss out on this lovely weather I went strsaight out on the bike at 5 when I got home.

As a relative beginner I only did 10 miles ( instead of the usual 12) because even I found the heat at 5pm quite draining at my slower speed!

By the time I got home just before six it was a nice temperature as the sun was gone down, but its too late now to set out unless you have lights!

80 miles for me today at a average of 16.9 with 3500 ft of climbing. Cooling down now with about 6 bottles of ice cold Magners.

Deffo, its too hot/ Its too cold, folk should move further north its nearly always a consistent temperature up here, the rain sees to that

It's too Hot, It's too Cold, or A little Cool; and Sometimes the Weathers Nice, or just warm; and we have a wee moan! Hey, that's just as it should be!! Rain in the north you say! Wettest place in the UK Llanberris Wales! Also one of the coldest! And yes I agree - it was warm today! I only rode 20, miles, but enjoyed the heat; and the cycle ride.
