Plain one? How heavy is the CC one and how is the fit - race fit doesn't work for me at all!

They are normal jersey material, not fleecy.

Long sleeves are only for winter.
The only reason to wear a long sleeved jersey in summer is because you're a soft shandy swilling southern jessie.

Or because it's chilly. Last week I went out in:
SS base layer
SS thin cycling top
Armwarmers
Winter jersey
Showerproof raincoat

Until the sun came out I was just about warm enough.

I don't know if this comes into the too enthusiastic category but it's very light-weight and breathable and I've been wearing it recently on cooler days (mid teens temps). I am a soft southern Jessie though, and probably a big girl's blouse as well.

I think it is race fit because it comes in at the waist and is snug around the hips

The long sleeve version is perfect for the day after you've had too much sun

Short sleeves and arm warmers does the trick for me.

A plus one there. I also have 'arm coolers' which are white and knitted so not windproof but are warmer than bare arms. Great with a ss jersey and a good way of not getting sunburnt.
