Then there were the Dogfight Doubles !

They were hanging all over my bedroom ceiling on cotton thread pinned into the ceiling tiles. You dont get ceiling tile now either.

I grouped them in different eras.

Also had a Mayflower ship which had a strange design with rows of coloured triangles |/|/|/ like this all around the back end which was really tricky to paint.


That's a shame too.
8 polystyrene tiles + 4 bits of 3 foot bamboo + sticky tape and string = a rather good box kite.

Getting back to the James May program, the one I saw on Dave earlier had Scalextric.
But not just any old Scalextric. Oh deary me no.
A scale 1/4 mile dragstrip, with a timing gate at the end. Some of the cars were doing a scale speed of nearly 700 mph. Fantastic!
