His answer was that having seen his own wife die of cancer 6 years ago, there's no way he'll be having anything to do with that particular scenario.

Care to bet that the dodgy hubby will take over her 'celebrity' mantle after she's gone, and the press & gossip mags will fawn over him until he reverts to type, then he'll be a monster again and they'll all be trying to outdo themelves with indignant anger ?
Wouldn't wish what she has on anyone, and I feel so sorry for the poor kids - but I fear that the while thing's going to turn into another 'celeb' media circus where the real message is drowned out by the usual 'celebrity' nonsense.

The way they can build up, knock down and then idolise someone again is appalling.
What's much worse is that the public buy all these papers and gossip/celeb mags by the ton, thus perpetuating this type of behaviour by their makers.

My wife was diagnosed with cancer in 97 and after intensive chemo and radiotherapy pulled through. Can`t remember any of the dailys wanting to tell her story. It seems to me that the man/woman in the street are left to get on with it, yet celebs ( and i use the term loosely) are paid thousands to tell story.???

You weren't the only one,I heard a few people mention their suspicions but I thought even the press wouldn't go that far.
I had little time for her or the others that seem to have been born out of this celebrity cult we live in. But it is sad to see someone have to go through what she's going through and she has my every sympathy. A girl I knew since my earliest schooldays and only a year older than me died last November after a long battle against liver cancer and it is a truely horrific illness.

They had a live birth on Dutch big brother...reality TV death is the biggest taboo. Imagine the advertising revenue.
