I've just flown a plane!

I too have flown in a glider. A great thrill, especially when you are given the controls. Getting airborne was a bit strange. The glider was pulled along by a very large winch. I'd always thought you needed to be pulled along by another plane up until then

We were pulled along by a rope attached to a tractor doing about 25mph.

Nice I dont wish to fly a plane I just wish to jump out of one

I've done both - but not on the same flight!
I was more scared sitting in it 'flying' than I was jumping out at 2,500 feet!

Wow, I also used to teach gliding! Did a fair amount of paragliding too.
