some test i read somewhere once a long time ago proved that counterfeit lenses could magnify UV light which could cause damage to your eyes by magnifying this light and burning your retina.
Your choice but i would never use fake lenses for this reason

I think that's true; cheap lenses are OK as long as they are uv400 and are just as good as Oakleys at protecting your eyes. Counterfiet ones however are not tested and often just cut down the amount of light going in like smoked glass, so not only do they not filter UV but actually reduce melanin production; You'll look cool but increase your chance of sunburn and skin cancer
