Very nearly bought this one, but went for the MS 808E (same Cree XM-L LED) - mainly as I have two MS chargers and two batteries. These cheaper models have a slightly larger connector (2.5mm vs 2.1mm on the MS) but you can get adapters from Maplin.

Bargain at the price.

I and a few others on here ordered the same light from the UK warehouse last week and the items have been in packaging since Monday so seems like they're not that quick from the UK on all items. Hoping it turns up soon as the clocks go back next week meaning more dark riding.

Mine arrived today from HK, no box, but wrapped in bubble wrap, all works fine on bench test. Will do a few miles tonight to test it in the real world. Less than a week since order.

Will work for dog walking as well with the head band it came with

Just back, it rained between me going upstairs to lycra up and going out, so I cut the ride short a bit.

Huge improvement on the BM Ixon, I ran them both together, the Cree for distance and the BM for close up, made unlit single track tarmac rideable at pace.

The endura club pro overshoes were spot on re the rain as well, huge puddles and constant rain throughout the ride yet dry feet, lovely. Shame the Smart 1/2 watt got wet again, it kept going, and I had a second one which doesn't leak, but it's drying out again. May use some silicone sealant on the thing.

Bit of a light disaster tonight. Got dazzled by oncoming car, rode into a pothole at about 20 mph, heard a noise, discovered that one of my 1/2 watt Smart rears had lost it's case battery and light. Rode back to find it had been run over by another car. Good job I had a second one.

Then on totally unlit country road the cree just stopped. Nothing would make it work, I had the BM as a backup and it got me home. I have since put the cree battery on charge and it seems that was the problem,

One ride a week ago, then I left it connected to the light but not turned on, and it died after about 45 minutes tonight. I guess I will leave it on charge or not plugged in to the light between rides as it must have been drawing some power off the battery.

Shall be ordering 2 more rears, as the Smart that broke wasn't the leaky one, so need a none leaky spare,

V glad i had two lights at each end.
