Another shift worker here , luckily my work is a nice 10 miles away so i commute to get my miles in even on night shift then every other weekend i get out on a club run .

A good set up for commuting gives me no excuse not to ride unless i am feeling lazy .

Worst time for me is normally about 3 am or "the hour of the walking dead " ...............

....have you thought this out?

Nearly there breaks down on the road at some future date, phones his wife to pick him up, wife answers 'phone but reminds Nearly there that she is locked in the shed.

Damn my plan is flawed ha

Cracking a solo.
Wife in shed, bike in house. That'll solve the problem in the future.

This reminds me of the test for seeing how much you're loved. Although it's officially the boot of a car you use, a shed would work too, basically you lock your wife in the shed for an hour or two and then your dog in the shed for an hour and you see who's most pleased to see you when you let them out.

After doing five 12 hour night shifts on the bounce I was itching to get out and get some miles in,my well thought out plan was to get to bed for 8am get up at 12:30 have a bite to eat then hit the road Once my Alarm woke me up I jumped out of bed like an excited child at Christmas once ready I rushed down stairs to knock up a quick snack then realised I was home alone Then it hit me my plans had been scuppered by THE WIFE(evil genius)

yep she`d only gone out taking the bunch of keys that had the shed key on them,A quick phone call and I was informed she wont be back until after she`d picked the kids up from school,Talk about a kick in the goolies I was gutted I even contemplated smashing the lock of the shed.A pointless post but needed to get it off my chest

I had a similar thing a while back, locked my keys in the shed then decided I wanted something out of it, with a good quality lock on it I thought I was knackered. Then it occurred to me, unscrew the hinges!!!
P.s aren't night shifts the pits! I hate 2-3, seems to take forever!
