Front page of that link doesn't say it's dormant.

It wouldn't - company status on that page shows either Active, Dissolved, or Proposal to strike off etc. Active doesn't mean it's not dormant, just that the company still exists on the register.

Every set of accounts up to March 2023 has been submitted as dormant accounts. That's not to say the company is dormant now, but it certainly was up to March 2023.

As noted upthread the company was compulsorily struck off by the Registrar after failing to submit accounts, but was then restored to the register and the overdue accounts submitted.

All this happened on 20th March 2024, together with some director changes, so it may be that someone there has decided to get their act together.

I noticed that the accounts for 22 and 23 were for a dormant company, filed in 2024. Also filed on the same date was the restoration application, which meant that they could only file for a dormant company(I did enquire on that.)

But at the time the claim was made on here that it was a dormant company, it wasn't.

You won't know that until the 2024 accounts have been filed. Companies House does not show on the main page for a company whether the company is dormant or not. It just doesn't. You only know this from looking at the most recent accounts that have been filed. A company does not notify Companies House when it ceases to be, or becomes, dormant. The only requirement is to file the accounts and confirmation statement at the appropriate times.

Every single set of accounts this company has ever filed have been dormant. The 2018 accounts show up as micro company accounts, but if you look at them, they have a zero balance sheet. So dormant accounts in all but name, the difference will just have been due to the way they were submitted.

In May of this year, when the claim was made on, here that it was a dormant company, it wasn't. It was listed, and showing as active.

True, I did check the Filing History page before replying. I never said I didn't, or that I'd gone only by the Overview page only.

All companies that have been formed, past and present, trading or otherwise, are listed on Companies House.

The only options available as the status are:

Active
Active: Proposal to Strike off
Dissolved
Liquidation

So, as I said previously, showing as "active" on Companies House does not mean that it is not dormant. Dormant companies still show as "active".

"Active" means it isn't in liquidation, hasn't been dissolved/struck off and there is no proposal to do so. It does not, of itself, mean that the company is trading.

Don't believe me?

This is getting way off topic now so I'll leave it here.
