What's the best way to pop these bearings out, do you have to use one of those FSA bearing removers like this http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/s?q=fsa+bb30+bearing+removal+e0019&cat=product , or can i use something else, im pretty handy at stuff like this, its just that there is a circlip behind them that's in the way.

That is what I use.

Try tightening your rear QR some more .
I had a similar problem with 2013 Caad 10 I bought second hand off the bay . I replaced the bearings thinking they were shot as the bike was 3 years old. Used loctite as advised , replaced the wavy washer and spacers so literally as new , except for the crank. First ride out and creak was still there Convinced it was the BB as thats where it sounded like it was coming from . Was all set to do the praxis conversion . However I had ordered some new tyres so fitted those and put the wheels back on and the creak vanished . Couple of rides later it came back . I tried tightening the rear skewer ( it was already quite tight ) some more and the creak vanished again . Every so often it comes back and tightening the rear QR makes it go . May be worth a check . I actually tried a different set of wheels ( Mavic Aksium ) and for some reason they dont creak .

Sound too regular to be bearings. Are you sure something isn't catching. Mudguard, cable, FD, tightened chainring bolts etc....

I was thinking that, it sounds more like a loose crank, I'd be inclined to check the bike over for anything loose or dry before I started on the BB.

Well, I stripped the bike bike down and checked everything there was to be checked very closely, cleaned and lubed what there was to cleaned and lubed, even playing around with the tightness of the crank, the creaking was still there but a bit quieter, then tightened up the Qr while on a run and low and behold it virtually disappeared, stopped and did it a bit more and, silence, so paraffinlamps was correct.
Just read another thread for cannondale bb30 that a fella called doog had similar problems and me like him put a brand new set of Zondas on and got the creaking. What I would like to know is how the hell can a Qr cause such a loud creaking to the point it directs it to the BB.
Now I have a ticking coming from the headset but I know this will be the stem as I have had this before, just waiting to one to arrive to swap over and also get rid of the rubbish carbon spacers.

Im doog...glad the QR thing worked...^_^

The issue is that creaks can emanate from anywhere and most people assume (wrongly sometimes ) that its the BB...I think sound travels up and down the frame and confuses the hell out of us all ..
