I have one of those, and hes right, not for weekend fettlers, always to be used on Wednesdays only.
It may be a bit of overkill, but its going to last a lifetime, and with all the fettling I do I think its worth the price of knowing the hanger is right, or being able to (very carefully) ben it back it its not.
