Like, hi vis material jogging bottoms? Thought either the lemon/yellow or pink would be good over my Altura padded Lycra for the winter months. Just seems logical to get a bright colour. Can't seem to find any though.

Night Vision tights would make most sense (instead of shorts)...I can't see you'll want full high viz trousers...there is a reason why you can't buy them

Ronhill used to make fluoro yellow tracksters, but they don't seem to be available now.

I actually used to wear a pair of those to go running back in the eighties. Eventually I dyed them with some blue Dylon and they turned a nice shade of green!

Logically, hi-vis trousers would make more sense than a hi-vis jacket as a car's dipped headlamps point downwards, not up.

I dunno guys, do we really need to make such style sacrifices?

IMO with good lights, the rest of you doesn't need to be all that high-vis. Most cycling apparell has reflective strips built into it, without making you look like a motorway maintenance guy.

It's your choice though.

Is have to say i agree largely I sometimes jest that I would rather not be seen than be seen in hi viz.

I have some altura night vision bib tights and I'm pretty sure the reflective strips do a better job than hi viz.

+1

Most overshoes have reflective bits on them which should catch the attention of motorists, but good lights are MUCH more important than dressing yourself head to toe in yellow.

I was actually thinking of in the bleak winter and during the day. felt that the lemon/yellow or pink would do two jobs; keep me warmer and help eejits see me in daylight hours.

It will also show the world that you are soaked in oily dirty shitty water off the road.

It's not a good look, especialy in the bum-crack area.
