They are wider, but only by 5mm. There's that much adjustment on a rear QR.

I've had no problems with the Lidl ones. Fit wasn't quite right, but that's because I was between sizes. The Lidl pedals are on the touring bike - I often use it for shopping, and cleats in sainsburys isn't the most comfortable 45 minutes.

i think the main problem is because the adjust screw is hidden by a reflector, which as it faces rearward i'm loath to smash off.

look's system is just so much better at putting all my effort into the pedal stroke, imho.
