Is the Carrera Intercity Disc 9 a significantly better ride than the Disc 8?

On at least one video of the model without discs I see the handlebars folded down between the front and rear half of the frame. If your handlebars fold down outside that might make it very difficult to wheel along.

It took a few frogs to kiss before I found my prince, but yesterday I picked up an ID8. I have been on the lookout for an ID9, but the ones available have either been absolutely ridiculous money or being sold by absolute morons who have the communication skills of a dead baboon. Just when I was going to give up and by a Brompton the bike below popped up. Okay, so it is an ID8 rather than a 9, but for the price I could not say no. I think it has been ridden once as it is mint, except for a big gouge on the fork due to the fold. I don’t think I will do anything to it, except a front luggage block when I can find one that fits. Anyone want to guess what I paid for it?

Yes I think the v-brake model folds down between the two halves. I was a little disappointed the ID9 doesn't because it would cut down the folded size. I assume it's because the wider forks to accommodate the disc brakes

My worry with buying one of these is carrying the 13.6Kg... So I would hope when it's folded up to be able to wheel it along. Is it possible and is it comfortable to do this? I would hope to be able to by holding the saddle in your right hand and pushing it along?

Mine went on the scales the day I bought it and it weighs 11.8kg ready to ride. Others have reported more or less the same.

I've had no issue carrying mine out. Although I'm a big lump I'm closer to 60 than 50, but it's only 11.8kg ffs.

Never tried wheeling mine although I've seen it done.
