I really enjoyed watching the Tour de France on ITV4 last year. Had some time off work and it was great to watch the longer coverage during the day and highlights later on.

Are there any other major races covered in the Uk? If so, what channel. I've not got Sky Sports, cos I'm not really a fan of football or golf, but would consider if there was plenty of road racing covered.

Eurosport is your best bet. It has the one day classics, the TdF, the Giro, the Vuelta and many other races like the Tour of Poland, Qatar, Tirreno.

Not all are live but the majority are.

You can also get it on the computer with Eurosport Player.

Is the Eurosport Player like the BBC iPlayer? I.e. can you watch any programmes you like from the last 7 days whenever you like? Or is it more like a streaming service where they simply show whatever is playing on the Eurosport channel at that time?

I'd quite like to get it for the cycling, but a lot of the programmes will be on during the day when I'm at work.

I have Sky Player and it costs me £15 per month and that includes eurosport 1 & 2 plus you can cancel at anytime with no contract like you would if getting the Dish in and Box

was a few cycling bits the other week on the track i beleave but fell asleep after a hard days work

If you can watch it live at work on your PC - you can often search around and find some Belgian channel streaming races free.

If you want to watch cycling on TV - there's no substitute for Eurosport.

Best races / best commentators.

The Eurosport player I've never used as it's subscription only - so I'd shop around for the cheapest TV deal that has Eurosport (preferably 1 and 2) as Eurosport have a tendency to randomly shove cycling to 2 when there's some motorsport on.

Loads of live streaming of big races on cycling fans if you do not have access to a TV broadcast

connecting a laptop to the Tv is easy if you want a bigger picture.
