Is it just me that had a heart attack after seeing this?

UNBELIEVABLE......I am astounded....

...that someone took the time to carefully clip the background around the bike, especially between the spokes and the chainset....and then forgot to clip the bit around the drops and between the rear wheel and seat tube!

Oh dear... made a big mistake and sneaked off to the show room this morning for a "look". An hour and half later after a chat and a basic fit I now have a nanolight on order!

These bikes look great in the flesh, couldn't decide on colour, black shows the carbon grain close up and looks cool but went for white as I already have a black bike.

Whoever started this thread has a lot to answer for...

The new PX is somewhere near 'Magma' isn't it? A day out for the kids during the holiday and somewhere to slope off to for a bit when they aren't looking....

Indeed, but they will notice when you slope back with a load of carbon! And it will happen if you step inside... trust me!

Can't wait for the bike to arrive. Its way to good for me but £1,600 for that top spec machine was too good to refuse. Really for bigger more exotic brands you'd have to pay at least double.

I've got mine
CAN'T WAIT!!!!

I got the Sram Red deal, Medium Frame with black weave (white is too common, blue is discontinued, red looks okay, but I prefer black).

Definitely going to post photos when it arrives! (Actually I will probably take it out on the road and completely forget!)

1 year ago I thought paying more than £100 for a bike was "stupid", and that £300 was stupidly expensive for a bike, I also thought I would never wear lycra and never even considered shaving my legs....

Oh how things change...

My Nanolight arrived Friday. I've done 60 miles this weekend. Very happy so far.

I'm pretty novice (bought my first bike last summer) and this is the first carbon bike I've ever ridden - so I'm in no position to give any worthy feedback... and of course its "my" new bike so its has to be the best in the wolrd!

But... Its massively more comfortable than my Scott Speedster S40 and irons out the vibrations so much more than aluminium, so you stay fresher for longer. There's a notable improvement in speed and climbing too - although I need to buy a better engine! The SRAM Red hits home hard and fast and the double-tap feels pretty intuitive for me. I've heard of poor reviews from C+ for the Nanolight. Couldn't tell you whether its mega stiff or not (seems stiffer than my old bike) and descending seems great to me - no scares so far so don't know where that comes from.

I just need to shed another 10kg and put the mileage in so I can do it some semblance of justice.

Oh and the pictures on the Planet X site don't do it any justice. Mine's white and it looks almost as sexy as a Wilier in a sleeker, more modern understated way.

So far so good

Cool comment, that's basically the same kind of place that I want to be in this time next year. I have a Scott Sub 20 for commuting but want to up the game and get the planet X asap. What kind of speeds are you hitting compared to the speedster ? Do you still use the speedster to commute, or have you fully switched over ?

Hi there, sorry for not responding, only just noticed this. Can't say I've really made any precise notes on speed or times, but on one of my main training rides (18 miles, 1250 feet of climbing) I think I was 10 minutes quicker than the quickest I've gone on the old bike. The gain is uphill for sure. Yes I still use the speedster, used it on a lovely 30 mile ride in showery conditions yesterday as I didn't want to mess up the Nanolight - the speedster is still great and does the job - although now I realise I need a longer stem. For me the Nanolight is lighter, stiffer and more comfortable - but the performance gains will only be very marginal - its not about the bike at the end of the day!
