I have had an ipod for years. It died recently. I also have an iphone. I have a PC rather than a Mac. Apart from slow synching I haven't had any major problems. Until recently.

I downloaded an update to itunes and also an update for my iphone and now it isn't recognised on my PC and I can't get it to feature in itunes.

We received an itouch for Christmas (because our old iphone had died) and I'm having the same problem.

I get the message that I need file usbaapl.sys from the Mobile Device Set Up Disk.

I do not have such a disk.

Any suggestions??

Thanks - have reinstalled itunes and reset/restored the iphone. Still no joy...

I also have a nano and that is working fine with the PC.
