Despite all my issues with Apple/iPhone I went with the 4 when faced with the same choice because of all the investment in Apps on it. If it were otherwise I'm not sure the Galaxy would have been my Android choice and if its only between those two I would definitely go iPhone. If it were an HTC it would be a tougher decision.

I was thinking of getting an HTC Sensation in a couple of months but what puts me of HTCs is their small memory - 1GB!
iPhone 4 all the way for me, at the moment. I think the reason Androids are doing so well is that you can get so many 'free' on contracts where you can't do that so much with the iPhone.

I think android is doing so well because you arent told what to do like you are with apple products.

I have a macbook and I know that I wont be replacing it once it is too old because I am sick of reading about apples restrictive practices, they should be encouraging inovation not killing it.

My HTC Wildfire is a great phone it cost £120 and can do everything I am likley to want to do except watch iPlayer which is due to it been a low cost phone so it cant run the latest android update but I can live with that.

It's 1GB built into the phone, but it comes with a micro sd card (8Gb iirc). I have 3 x 16gb cards to swap between on my Desire, one full of music, two full of movies - try doing that on an iPhone! :-)

in comparison my galaxy S comes with 8gb internal and i've got another 8gb SD inserted, soon to be a 32.
the HTC's are nice phones but they do suffer from a lack of memory.

Anyone here have the samsung galaxy s2 and wnna fight its corner?

Despite being a fan of HTC, since the S2 came out I've been recommending it to anyone who has asked for advice. Well built unit, great screen and fast (if fast is what you look for in a phone). So far everyone who has followed my advice has thanked me so it must be pretty good!!

I personally own a Motorola Defy cos it does everything I need it to do plus it doesn't mind getting wet in the pocket of my cycling top

As I'm looking at the Defy+ for my next upgrade, I've been doing some reading into the original - you know you can overclock the processor?!?! Fellow geeks will understand....
