Yeah, from what I understand they were mass produced low end bikes but still a nice ride. Not sure it'd be worth sourcing original parts but got plenty of bits to build it up as a semi decent 'frankenbike' as it were with a
nice chromed fork and some modern parts. Bottom bracket is gonna be the hardest part to source from what I gather.

Cups may be your problem, but @biggs682 may have more and better information than that.

I've seen something on the velo orange website for around £30 which isn't a ridiculous price, any other options are welcome

I've seen some French threaded cups on eBay and according to Sheldon these should work with a #5 axle, if one can be found.
Other than that it'll be the velo orange french threaded cartridge or a threadless one.

A few weeks back I acquired a couple of old bike frames on ebay. One I have determined is a Raleigh Grand Prix which will be built up cheap as a 'beater'
The other I have no clue. It apperars to be steel however is really light compared to the raleigh frame. There are no serial numbers or obvious markings. The lugwork is nothing overly fancy but is clean and well made. There is only one boss on the downtube for a single shifter and the rear brake bridge appears to have been assembled wrong?
Im stumped. Im thinking maybe its a custom built frame unless anyone can shed any light? (Apologies for the dodgy photos)

Hi Speedfreak. Not sure if you've identified this frame yet. If not, I think it's French (poss; Peugeot). A cycling friend has a very similar lugged frame. Date wise, I think 1950s.

Thanks guys.
Yeah im almost certain it's an old Peugeot with Aztec lugs.
I haven't actually done anything with this frame yet as I've had other priorities but it will get built up as a single speed/fixie one day. I've been slowly trawling eBay for French bits
