PLeasant spring days have caused insects to appear. I'm getting a little spooked wondering if i have got a wasp, bee or hornet in my helmet....or maybe just a plain fly. Bandana?? whats the best way of dealing with the pesky insects?

A ladies hair net over the helmet. Almost invisible and wont have much affect on the helmet ventilation.

Well, it's one idea!

A wasp or such got stuck in my helmet only yesterday. I was quite pleased to be able to take my helmet off, put it on again and do the chin-strap up one-handed while still riding. It would indeed have been ironic though if I'd dropped the helmet getting the straps caught in the front wheel, flying me over the handlebars and in to the path of an oncoming juggernaught - or something.

FABULOUS!!

TBH, I only wear a helmet when doing Spotives (Because it's in the rules!!)
I am allergic to some insect stings, not a fatal allegy, but I will come out in huge golf ball sized red itchy lumps all over my body, so I have sort of developed a real phobia about anyhting that buzz's near me, one of my worries has been that something will get trapped in my helmet - It happened once & I got into such a panic that I feel off!!

After that I bought another helmet that has a mesh on the inside of the front vents but the top sides & back are all still open.
I will be buying a hairnet for the next ride - Cheers Chilly xx
