In some ways this is far more shocking than a the horror scare tactic adverts you see about. Hopefully the driver has learnt a lesson without involving other people.
First thing said by the tutor on my first car control session I did was something along the lines of "Almost anyone can guide a car so it points in the right direction at 100mph, what you're going to learn today is how to control a car at half that speed!". What I learnt that day taught me that most drivers on the road think they're in full control of a car at the NSL, however when things start to get tricky they'll quickly find out they're not in control.And it's dangerous as the driver is clearly not capable of controlling the car at that speed on that road, as is blatantly obvious 30 seconds later...
