Come to think of it, I had some problems with brand new specialized tubes a while back. They kept tearing at the base (neck) of the valve!

Continental or Schwalbe for me every time.
I'm another that had a bad experience of Spesh tubes, I had several that all split round the base of the valve stem.

Yep I too have had valve problems. Not a problem when using a track pump but disheartening to rip the valve off a spare tube when out and about and using a hand pump

Yet I have never had a problem with Spesh tubes.
Strange ain't it?

I also had problem trying to get spesh tubes to stay up past 100 psi , would pump to 120 and be down to 100 psi within in 24 hours , had bought 10 pack as well , find schwalbe retain air better than any other tube at high pressures .

But if you dont run at high pressures then spesh are fine .

LBS sold these tubes once that the valves were really easy to snap and my m8 snapped his only spare miles from home , luckily passing cyclist helped him out .

On my Caadx the valves fell out the tube and I dont mean the valve cores , the whole valve stem could be pulled out the tube then reinsert , I binned them as they leaked air , Kenda made them I think .

Looking at my commuting bike with Spesh inners, pumped up to 120psi... once again, retaining air no problem. I top them up every Monday morning, but nowhere near the amount you have to,

Now, I'm no fan boy, just that I don't seem to have all these reported problems with Spesh tubes that others do.
I bought a bulk lot from my LBS a couple of years ago when on special offer.

Think I was over 100 kg when I used them so might be my weigh knocking the air out them lol

Or just my bad luck that i get a faulty batch .

I've just realised why I've had 3 punctures on 3 consecutive days and in the same place on the inner tube...there's a gash in the tyre and the inner tube keeps popping out like a haemorrhoid.

I think it needs Prep H, not a repair patch.
