i've had my bike for two years and this is the first time i've the tyre off so I can complain too much

The tube next to valve has ripped so its going to have to be replace. This is where the problem I think comes in.

The tube I have removed is 26x1.9/2.125 and I cant seem to find any with these measurements. Do I just use something close to this or should I keep looking for the same as I already have?

Cheers

Karl

You don't have to be exact so long as it is for a 26" MTB bike wheel (don't confuse with something like 26 x 1 3/8" which is totally different). Tubes will fit a range of widths so check the size of your tyre and find a tube which suits.

Welcome by the way.

Hi Medic6666 welcome to the CC forum

check the side of your tyres for the size you require I.E : if the tyre says 26 x 1.50 then buy an inner tube within that range. inner tube will say 26 x 1.50 / 210 so the inner tube will cover tyres from 1.50 upto 2.10.

your local Halford will do the tubes you require http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/...1_catalogId_10151_categoryId_228353_langId_-1 as will http://www.evanscycles.com/categories/bike-components-bike-parts/bike-tyres-tubes/inner-tubes and also http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/ebw...7&f_SortOrderID=1&f_bct=c003154c003139c003527

I hope you find what you're looking for

Yep - basically they come in narrow and normal. And some huge ones for balloon tyres. You need the "normal" flavour.

Company wide, just stocked up on the same deal. Currently running 28c tyres with 25c inners though  Hope the sidewalls hold until I get new tyres, kind of disconcerting when you're running at 115psi...

Blowouts are fun... xx(

sorry to hijack someone elses thread, but while we're on the subject of inner tubes... has anyone used the self sealing ones? i'm thinking of getting one or two just in case of an emergency but am not sure as to whether they'll acutally work?
