Puzzle game procrastinator!
That is actually quite impressive Colin. I was staying next to the church where Compo was buried. The only way I could get up that hill was with my 24" gear!

Ha - you aren't catching me out with the 24" gear - we've done that one recently! (24" = 2 feet = walking!)

Really...... not that likely. I have a 20 year old DA Mech that's perfect and a similar Ultegra age mech that shifts perfect.
Very likely.

Cheaper mechs from the last two decades, especialy long cage MTB mechs wich need that spring power more to operate well are a bugger for it, try working with a lot of lower end kit and you see where the holes in the drive train start to show after a years of use and road salt getting at the mech.
