I do think you are tarring everybody with the same brush, I bet there are some very nice people who live there as well

I work with some families less than a stone's throw from there and yes, they are lovely, doing the best they can in very difficult circumstances. But there are far more real poo-bags in the area, who drag down the name of the area and the feel of the whole community. You really get a feel for an area when you've had things thrown at you while pushing a wheelchair through the streets.

Everywhere has their bad apples but Buckland has rather more than it does good ones in my experience.

Sad. But I agree.
The area pretty much makes up central Portsmouth (if you count Landport, Stamshaw, Somerstown etc within that!)
Some great people there (I have worked with), but tarnished with generations of less desirable elements.
OT.. I have often wondered why it is such an angry environment (talking from personal experiences) and has been for many years.

If your antagonist wants to behave violently then it is not always possible "to defuse the situation and walk away". please do not start blaming the victim for not being able to talk down a violent criminal.

Calm down mad@rage. I was not blaming anyone i was just saying how dissappointing it is that this kind of thing happens between 2 men in their 40s both of whom should know better. Anyway i am not going to comment further as i dont wish to provoke your wrath further.
The main thing is that the injured party makes a full and speedy recovery.
