Your neeps don't look very neep-coloured, either. A neep is a swede and should have orange flesh - your "clapshot" (tatties and neeps mixed) looks very white, as if you've cooked a white-fleshed turnip in there.

Parsnips here in Holland. After years of having to order them specially from the greengrocer and paying a king´s ransom for them, they´ve now cottoned on to their being not simply animal feed.
