On Sunday I cycled with many others the Ilkley 100 mile for Marie curie. Whilst not a hilly ride it was great fun. Starts in Ilkley, head out to Otley then to Weatherby, York and Selby. Then return.
The route is at

Well done to JDs and the Marie Curie organisers for putting on a first class event.

A good challenge for new cyclists looking to test their ability on distance. Includes roads, lanes and cycle-tracks with lots of stopping places en route.

I love the comment from snorri who says many on here are old 30+ and more. AT 50 (plus a little) that puts me in the above average age range i suppose. My group of fellow cyclists in Ilkley are all about this age I think. And we love cycling, tea stops compulsory though. We all pay to a sort of tea fund and it makes a surplus that is then recycled into a charity. Does anyone else do this? Ethical cycling.
