Cheers for all the advice I was hoping that would be the outcome as I prefer the looks of the Escape too  I did think the suspension would add to much weight, in the past I have prefered just rigid forks.

AndyM78, just noticed your from Ringwood, thats where I work

It is "was", as the if clause uses the normal past tense, the part with the "what would you do" is the subjunctive bit in the sentence. Therefore, as money is singular, the 3rd person past tense is "was". Not sure if that made any sense and it was clearly completely unhelpful with the bike choice, but hey...

Barnet,
See what you have started AaronM, you can't say a thing wrong on here without being picked up on it. But, back to the thread. Personally I would not get a bike with suspension forks as they will be heavy and unresponsive. You will get more fun from a bike with ridgid forks.

Cheers ;)

Went into my LBS today and they can order one in for me to have alook at and also chnage the tyres rto something a bit more puncture resistant if I feel like it, all is goods

Trouble is at cyclestore.co.uk they are giving away 10% free accessories so feel the need to get it from there!

I have been on lots of other forums in the past for various things and even ran a sucessful one so know the banter that goes on and should of expected it really!

Where was that thread about 'how many forum members does it take to change a lightbulb'!
