Changed it above. Cooties is the US term, girl-germs is what boys said when I was at school. Not sure what the UK equivalent term is.

I assume that fear of contamination by oestrogen is the reason that "I'd be more worried that it's a women's bike!"

Yes, a larger bicycle is required in this case, that one looks to be stretched to its limits, and you appear to have nowhere near the necessary leg extension you need to ride it comfortably. You should be able to have your leg nearly straight at the bottom of the downstroke. See what the guys from Performance bike say, upthread. Quite informative.
