Hi, I'm looking for some advice.
I have the bike mentioned above. it is now my no.2 bike, as i have a Canondale Supersix for long rides and spring/summer/autumn commute.
I'm looking for a winter option, to keep my Supersix from the worst weather.
I can't decide whether to upgrade my Scott, or get a new, cheapish bike.
Is the Scott frame good? Is it too heavy? What would be the next step up, wheel-wise from the Rigida Cyber 10s I have currently? I feel wheels would be the first step to making the bike better, but I just wonder if the frame is good/light enough to be worth the bother?
I'll only be using it for the 6 mile commute.

umm, hope that all makes sense...

if youre seriously only going to use it for winter and 6 mile commutes, i wouldnt bother upgrading it.

mind you i wouldnt hesitate to ride a supersix any time of year providing it wasnt icy. its not going to kill it.

Agreed , 6 miles isn't very far and bearing in mind it's reserved for rubbish weather why would you want better bits on it, or to get something new? In terms of 'is it too heavy', surely that's your call, but of course it will be compared to a carbon roadbike (but not compared to an old MTB or Sports Direct BSO - it's aluminium, rigid fork)

Stick fixed mudguards and good lights on it, and you're good to go I'd say
