Have look at the Scott aspect too.
They look a much nicer bike.
But if your commuting then perhaps thats not such a good idea!🤔

Reduced at Tredz, £100+ under budget leaving money for lights, better pedals, a good lock etc (owned by Halfords if using C2W)

The Kracken has better components than that particular Scott. Plus if the person is a beginner then they will be able to easily take it back to Halfords for any issues etc. With the Scott they will have to partially assemble it themselves as well.

Or take it to a shop. Already posted above that they need to check everything on a Halfords bike, no difference. When I’ve bought boxed bikes, just been a matter of turning bars and attaching pedals.
Obviously being a tall female buying ‘men’s/unisex aka men’s :rolleyes:‘ bikes, I’ve generally had to swap to a WSD saddle too
