For crimes against humour, I have constructed a similar cannon which you are all instructed to get into. It's somewhat larger than that of A Trip To The Moon, as it is designed to fire you into the sun.

Apparently it's one of several sculptures being made for the African Nations Commonwealth Park twinning initiative and will be placed near to the Burrell Collection (fab museum within the park) as a legacy to the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Looks like it's finished now, all they need for it is a name...
I'll take another photo once it's in situ.
