When I was training I lived in a nurses home, in flats with 6 rooms. I shared with 5 girls, and honestly, they turned me off nurses unifroms for life. I would get up for an early, and often find them walking about in their bras, stockings and suspenders, eating a bowl of cornflakes. Then we would get home after shift, and we would sit around, them with their stinky festering stocking feet because they hadn't sat down for 8 hours. In a uniform with christonlyknows what smeared and stained on it.

I, and the others, have been sweating like horses on stage every night this week and we're not allowed to launder our costumes in case they shrink or the colour runs. The dressing rooms are rank and we must stink to high heaven when we meet our adoring fans the audience in the bar after the show.
