One of the ironies of this is that, as it is your council that is responsible for maintaining most local roads (and hence council tax pays for this), a cyclist who lives in a large house is paying more of the cost of road maintenance than a motorist living in a smaller one. Perhaps we should display our council tax banding on shirts.
