I have colleagues who work with retirees, helping htem to have some structure in their day, stay active and don't slow down too soon, so it isn't just you.

Must be an interesting job. There is a guy at our work 73 or 4 he is now and fit as the proverbial and hopefully no intention of retiring.

It's pretty similar to what I do I guess. I wouldn't be able to work with that group though: the older people are here, the stronger their version of the local dialect and when I speak to locals over retirement age it may as well be Bulgarian for all the sense I can make of it...

The trouble with retirement (unlike the "have it easy" work slaves) is that you never get a day off. It's a tough life I tell ya.

yes, my brother was a “late entry” after a career in Computer Hardware/software.

I'm a late entry into teaching too after being a Personal Trainer for years. I 'discovered' teaching as a profession while at uni, which I also went to late.
