I may regret asking, and feel free not to say but the car crash spectacle phenomenon insists I ask.............. what actually is the problem?

My profile says that I am a "well known member" so in a bid to have my member even better known Rob: I was circumcised due to seemingly incurable thrush (not only a female problem).

i chase my shorts round the house (nekid), beat them to death with a meat mallet then before they can recover from their stupor ram them over my backside and jump on the bike so they can't escape.

IRL i wash regular, nothing like the pong of un-washed cycling gear to give you a case of the "sudden food expulsion syndrome"

you don't need to worry anymore then - problem removed?

I wouldn't say that.......
penile cancer is more likely to occur in men who were circumscised as adults. Fortunately this is quite a rare condition - but still worth knowing about.
Chaps -when checking your eggs check the sausage too and however embarrassed you might be - any unusual lumps or bumps should be checked by your doctor as soon as possible.

On a happier note, I guess I must be lucky because I have never suffered from chafing caused by cycling. I have done over 100 miles in a day and had no issues whatsoever. I do wear padded pants but none of this creaming and special chamois lark. Just a lovely Brooks B17 Standard leather saddle.

I'm with Globalti on this one. I shower before I ride and ensure everything is spotlessly clean. I am liberally coated in sudocrem which inhibits sweating. My shorts have a silver impregnated coolmax anti-bacterial pad. I can get a couple of rides out of a pair of shorts between washes. Live with it.

Sorry to hear about your thrush OP, but modern pads like coolmax wick sweat and kill bacteria. They are probably your answer. Or the answer to your coronal sulcous' prayers.

i can atest (ickle) that finding lumps in your sack is never fun.
mine turned out to be scar tissue from my op, but anything you find that isn't normal (and you should be checking chaps) go to your doc!
i don't currently use anti-bacterial pads but after reading this thread i may have a look at these.
