If you have 2 tourers already, then why would you want a third?.

Besides, I'm not sure a hybrid will do anything that your existing tourers won't.

Tourers, with different tyres, can handle as varied a terrain as any hybrid.

The only advantage to a hybrid would be a more upright position if that is want you wanted. Best thing to do would be to go round a few shops and test ride several bikes in your price range, then buy the one that feels best, you will know when it is the right bike for you... ;)

Hybrids, almost by definition, are neither one thing nor the other. They're a mix of mountain bike and road bike. So unless you really need something which is half road bike/half mountain bike, stick with the tourers or better still, decide what it is that you really, really want from a bike and make your decisions from there. Identify the problem then find the solution.

Why don't you want to use either of the tourers you already have? They'll have the right gears for the hills.
