I believe Louise of this parish is 5" and she has just bought a Specialized Vita - which is what I would recommend. I think hers was extra small, but you can probably read up on a couple of her threads just to confirm that.

Yes I did and I love it its light and owing to it being "designed for women" its a great fit, I advise that you for the extra small if you choose to go for a Vita.

Evans cycles have them on special offer at the mo, and they may come down even lower after Christmas. Heres the link.

I know it is over your budget, however its a great bike and I readily recommend the Specialized Vita

NB: 17Kg = 34lbs 61/2oz - no way buy that! Your LBS must be pretty desperate. Front suspension totally unnecessary if she is not going off road.
