My kid brother is planning a wedding do somewhere out of the ordinary. All the guests have to do is pay for the flights everything else is paid for - it think it's just about manageable though I wouldn't hesitate to say no if the cost is the north side of stupid.

i'm hoping that it was a clumsy way of saying that they are going there, and if we are able we are welcome to join them. it's just that they managed to sound rude, patronising, and inconsiderate in the original email. i just can't read it any other way, such as it's written.

common sense prevails!! all bar one of the invitees turned them down, so is now going to be a house party on the day, while they go off to northern ireland themselves after.

i think they were so embarrassed that they asked my wife's (and his) mum to let us know
