Can you buy cone separately or do I have to buy a new hub and re-spoke ?

Ta-Daaa!!

You can get Campag from somewhere as well. Mercian would be a likely candidate.

Thanks :-)
when I last serviced a hub the cost of the cone on SJS cost more than an entire hub (Deore) on CRC so it was a no brainer and I got some spares out of it. I then extended this philosophy to buying some Shimano cartridge brake pads - full Deore V Brake assembly cost less than the pads on their own

You're probably right ! Reading back, HlaB's wheels are quasars, and I don't know who's hubs they use, though I'd guess Formula or Cho-sen (Chinese/taiwanese) or possibly Joytech/Novatech - in which case you might just as well try and replace the whole hub. Not sure who the importers are though and whether they sell them retail and/or in single units.

Its some Dutch company, Ive never heard of them my self, I found them on the web and they seem to be well reviewed as rock solid training wheels at a good price, if unexciting. I'd agree with that review. I'll send them an email and see if I can replace the cones and with what :-)

btw after the service the wheel seems to be flying :-) new cones and it'll be in orbit ;-)

Wouldn't be surprised if these aren't the same as the famed Planet-X model B/C (but at twice the price !) You might also see them badged-up as Halo something-or-others or Reynolds Alta Comps. If so, they use Novatec hubs and you could get a replacement through planet-x. Go to their website and see if their hubs look like the Quasars. Or maybe just buy a new wheel from them !
