A strange plea for help. I usually download mapping for my garmin 520 from http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/ but it seems that the queue is currently at 10 days.

So two requests:

1.) Does anyone know of an alternative site that allows you to download just a few tiles? I can get the whole of the UK from talkytoaster, but cannot fit that on my device, so I need to be able to
2.) Does anyone have a file of Kent that they have previously downloaded. I need the two tiles for East Kent.

You can download specific tiles from open street map.

Have a look at velomap.org I honestly have no idea if they just do the tile level stuff you're looking for as I've never done downloads at that level, but it may be worth a peek if you haven't already

This seems to be the whole country too.
I will keep looking, maybe I can split the img file.

In my experience when it says a date it usually appears earlier then the date they give.

If you select the whole of the UK from the predefined country list under Europe, you get a list on the left hand side of the individual tiles within the UK. Clicking on one of them seems to download the individual tile immediately.

The problem is I only have about 35mb of internal storage and no way of using an external card.

I might have had a breakthrough with https://extract.bbbike.org/. I am waiting for the download.

Yes but if you use the method I described, rather than requesting the tiles, it downloads immediately.
