HRM not pairing?

My CooSpo heart rate monitor has worked fine with my android phone for about a year. I had to do a factory reset on the phone the other week and since then the HRM refuses to pair. The phone can detect it no problem, but when I try to pair them I get a 'pairing refused by heart rate monitor' message?

Any ideas? I have taken the battery out of the HRM and put it back in again in case it needed a reset......

Ok, for anyone who has the same issue at some point...
you don't 'pair' the HRM. Put it on, fire up Strava, start recording, *then* go to settings and select HRM.
I was starting Strava through a 3rd party 'one-touch recording' app, which is why it never picked it up, and it only appears in settings *after* you start recording.
