Im in my early 40's so age might be a factor.........

However i want to know how the pro's and ameteurs for that matter manage 100 + miles....

Without going for a slash?

I did 40 miles last friday and had 3 stops...it was quite a chilly morning but still....

They just pi$$ themselves apparently and someone else does their laundry

In your 40s unless you've had a couple of natural childbirths ;), urinary issues should not really be present unless drinking lots.
You might want to get checked by your doctor for diabetes, early prostate problems etc

The truth is they don't go without having a piss but 3 in 40 miles seems excessive - you just need to balance your fluid intake on the bike to keep you hydrated but not so much you need to pee all the time.

I used to preload with drinks before I rode and that always caused excessive stops. Now I drink as normal and top up on the bike.

When we went to see a stage of the TDF a few years back, Mrs Silly took an un natural (for her) interest as the peloton went past with a good few riders erm, relieving themselves as they rode by.

Bonus result was she was happy to go and see a stage the following year
