How to use roundabout cycle lanes?

A great illustration of why the lanes are rubbish and should be avoided like the plague! The place to be is where a car driver would be turning right, in the right hand lane going in.

Ah, Canterbury, I know that stretch well!
Yes, absolutely stay well out of it, especially if turning right. They seem to be designed to kill cyclists rather than help. Good strong position out in the main carriageway is an infinitely better option.
