Why not? The sustrans route 4 from London to Windsor is (mostly*) lovely.

*excluding putney bridge

@Dogtrousers - seems very reasonable to me. I had made the assumption myself that you had chosen London as a start because it was a convenient point to start from for you or for any others joining you. After all, who decides to start something somewhere inconvenient?

Glad you had a good ride though. You started a bit more south and west than I had expected, but that's about it!

I started planning my route from a place where i didn't know the navigation.
