Me and my bike, both weigh about the same or less then some of the people i train with, and thats without their bike:laugh:
I saved a few grams off my bike from the winter, i took the two light mounts off:wacko:

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
NB: Don't forget to remove your valve caps to save a few more grams - they are really not necessary!

I've just reduced the weight of my Aluminium TCR1 Ultegra (2004) by 3.4 lbs, she now weighs in at 20.8 lbs or 9.43 Kgs replete with Brooks B17, mini-pump, Look 246 pedals (pure lead) 2 bottle cages a Space-grip with computer plus Cateye rear light...
Considering a Focus Cayo Carbon with 105 weighs-in at 8.83 Kgs without pedals, then the old TCR still stacks up pretty well.
How?
Well...
Swap winter wheels (Ultegra hubs, CXP22s, Krylions) for summer wheels (Reynolds Alta-Race, PrR3's)
Remove, 3 front lights, 1 rear light.
Remove Carradice SQR block.
Voila!

Could feel the difference at club training tonight

I'll put a fiver on the table and say "FF's bike has a 39 x 23 gear on it."

Which is 46". (1/20.8)x1000 = 48".
Better to be safe than sorry, hey

Someone at Giant Cycles must be a member of the Coven.

Actually, its' a 30 x 25.
My heavier 531 fixed runs 42/15.
If it matters of course... you never mentioned what the gearing change should be for loosing over 3 lb of bike weight;)

Bin the Brooks and get a Flite Ti - you'll save about 8kgs.............;)
It's a shame my aero-belly isn't part of the bike, if I lost that I could carry a small constitutional monarchy in my saddlebag...
