Hey,

I know nothing about bikes but I need to change my cable.

The brake is in an upside down Y shape.
I bought the cable but didn't even look at the brake before I bought it and have no idea how I use 1 cable to go through the 2 holes.
The cable has a nub at one end and nothing at the other.

Sorry if I am explaining this bad but I have no idea about them.

I think you mean canti brakes.

When you remove the old cable it'll become apparent. The Y shape cable you should keep. the brake cable goes to the round thing in the middle and down the tube to be clamped. I'm sure you'll sus it by looking at the current setup.

Thanks for the replies

That's the type Peteaud

Lanzecki, unfortunately the cable snapped and I don't have another part like in the picture above.
Does that mean I need to get another type of cable apart from the 1 brake cable I have?

If so you'll need to visit a Local Bike Shop Or even Halfords. In that picture the cable that comes from the brake lever comes in at the top (in the round disk, the goes thru the right side pipe to be bolted to the brake block arm.
