The thing is, I've been around and in the sport so long at levels from bottom to top and back, with so many people I know, I don't really care about hurting a few sensibilities, but whatever I say will be based on experience, knowledge, and BS free.

On the subject of gender, 'shat' (chatte) would be the feminine form, so maybe there was a sheila moggy in Noodley's loo. The masculine form 'chat' would be pronounced 'sha' ('seulement l'anglais prononce la dernière lettre'... damned giveaway and difficult to remember NOT to do it )... so it's 'un chat' for a tom and 'une chatte' for, um, whatever a female cat is called in English... cat I suppose.

Fortunately the cats (male and female) seem to have sussed the difference, if the number of litters (if lots of kittens are called a litter) I see are anything to go by.

And the subject of kitty litter (see what I did there?) brings us neatly to shoot; which, of course, all of the above kit cat chat shoot is.
